Development
FemPulse
Alexandra Haessler, MD, FACOG, Founder and Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Alexandra Haessler developed the underlying FemPulse technology and brought it to market maturity.
Dr. Haessler’s motives for developing FemPulse were manifold. First and foremost, she hopes to offer women the possibility of continuous and discrete neuromodulation without needles, implants or frequent visits to the doctor. As a doctor, she often found herself dealing with patients who had received inadequate or unsuccessful treatment – eventually causing them to discontinue treatment. The user-friendliness of FemPulse can increase compliance, which ultimately leads to improved treatment success rates and increased quality of life.
Dr. Haessler is a surgeon for pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. She currently works at the Physician Foundation Medical Associates in San Francisco. She has served as the Director of Urogynecology at the California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) and as an honorary member of many committees, including the GYN Quality, GYN New Technology and CPMC New Technology Committees.
